With a simplified interface, large buttons, and powerful voice actions, Android Auto is designed to make it easier to use apps that you love from your phone while you’re on the road.

Just say “Ok Google” to...
• Route to your next destination using Google Maps or Waze with real-time GPS navigation and traffic alerts.
• Get updates on your route, ETA, and hazards in real-time.
• Have the Google Assistant check your calendar for you so you know where you need to be.
• Set reminders, get updates on the news, and check last night’s score.
• Avoid distractions while driving by setting a custom do not disturb message while driving.
• Make calls using Google Assistant and answer incoming calls with just a tap.
• Access your contacts folder and send and receive messages with the Google Assistant using SMS, Hangouts, WhatsApp, Skype, Telegram, WeChat, Kik, Google Allo, and many more messaging apps.

Comments about Android Auto Android Version

Works well, and has become more intuitive over time (more settings readily available on the screen instead of locked behind the settings icon). For whatever reason, I have to change my USB-C - USB cable out quite often. After a few months, it just starts disconnecting randomly, so that's a little annoying. I've gone through a lot of cables. 😩 There are a few things I wish it did, but I can't think of them at the moment! 🤣 I'll come back and edit this when I remember what they are.
The new "feature" - "Dark Mode UI is now independent from phone," is more of a bug than an added feature. I am amazed at the fact that the developers seem to be removed from reality to the point that they make decisions for users as opposed to allowing them the choices. This has broken the choice in Waze that allows the user to choose. There is a setting in developer options to allow the user to choose. PLEASE MAKE THAT FUNCTIONAL or move it to the customize settings in the app.
An overall good app and experience. There are two intermittent problems - the app will keep searching for my vehicle while I'm not in it. The other is that my Spotify playlist will play on my phone instead of through the stereo, although in these instances it will allow me to control the music via the stereo even though it's playing on my phone.

Is Android Auto safe for my device?

Open up

Yes, Android Auto follows the Google Play content guidelines to ensure safe use on your Android device.

What is an XAPK file, and what should I do if the Android Auto I downloaded is an XAPK file?

Open up

A file with .xapk extension is a compressed package file. It is a container file format that incorporates APK and additional associated files required for the installation. The XAPK format was introduced to package the APK file and OBB file together for a seamless delivery and installation process. XAPK format can help reduce the package size of application. On mobile phones, users need to install the XAPK installer first, and then install XAPK files through that installer. You can find the installer here:https://apkcombo.com/how-to-install/. But on PC client, you just need to put the file on LDPlayer.

Can I play Android Auto on my computer?

Open up

Yes, you can play Android Auto on your computer by installing LDPlayer, an Android emulator. After installing LDPlayer, simply drag and drop the downloaded APK file into the emulator to start playing Android Auto on PC. Alternatively, you can open the emulator, search for the game or app you want to play, and install it from there.
