The Garmin Drive™ app is a simple and convenient app solution for the latest Garmin automotive navigators and dash cams. Visit garmin.com/driveapp for a list of compatible devices.
For compatible navigators, the Garmin Drive app provides real-time information for traffic, parking, advanced weather, and photoLive traffic cameras, in addition to the ability to send and receive calls, texts, and notifications from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device.
For compatible dash cams, the Garmin Drive app provides quick access to camera controls, settings, and recorded footage. Up to four dash cams can be wirelessly connected with the Dash Cam Auto Sync feature to provide comprehensive coverage around a vehicle, offering various viewpoints recorded by the multiple cameras. The Garmin Drive app can create a “picture-in-picture” video from any two perspectives at the same time, making it easy to review video and also share videos with friends, insurance agencies, or legal authorities.
Garmin Speak™ with Amazon Alexa brings what you love about Amazon Alexa to your vehicle. Just ask Alexa to hear music, news, and more. Also, enjoy Garmin turn-by-turn navigation. Stream the audio (music and other responses) from your vehicle’s stereo when you connect Garmin Speak to your stereo using Bluetooth® or AUX.
Older Bluetooth-capable Garmin navigators are compatible with the Garmin Smartphone Link app, and older Wi-Fi-enabled Garmin dash cams can access video footage through the Garmin VIRB app.

Completely useless. Took 30 min to export a 10 second clip. Hardly ever connects. The first time I connected I just kept getting app is not responding messages over and over. Reset the app and after continuously trying to connect I was finally able to load the clip. Then it was impossible to move the sliders to clip. When I finally got the sliders to work I hit export and it did nothing for 10 min. Had to start over again. App needs serious fixing, it's been years and it still barely works.
Exact same problems as other recent reviews describe. I can see thumbnails, but can't view the videos. Doesn't reliably connect to WiFi even when I have the unit in my home, next to my phone and WiFi router. 1st DC Mini 2 didn't connect reliably. Garmin sent a replacement unit, which has the exact same problems. That leads to the App as the central point of failure and, therefore, renders the hardware useless.
Hot garbage - The app simply won't connect to the camera reliably. In fact, I would say it connects less often than it connects when needed. New videos don't seem to load either - it shows the videos from the last time you connected and there is not easy way to get them to refresh. Last time, to see my new videos, I had to reboot the phone. The layout isn't well thought out ether, with too many layers to bet to what you need.
