Comments about YouTube Music Android Version
The worst music app on the Android TV platform. The worst music app on any platform. Makes me want to go back to Apple Music or Tidal, except I get YTM for 'free' via YT Premium. Wouldn't pay for this trash. Desperately need a replacement. Least you could do given I now pay $25/month for YT Premium, $12/month for Google One and now $16/month for your stupid FitBit 'SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN GOOGLE ONE' Premium. Devaluing your own platforms.
Is there another major music app that makes it nearly impossible to rearrange the order of a playlist from your phone? Or one that regularly stops playback after a minute or two for no good reason? Or makes it so difficult to access your own music? Or can't find your playlists by voice? Or can’t accurately display song information in a car? It is hard to believe that any major company would release an app this bad. It is harder still to believe it when Google used to have a music app that actually worked and they replaced it with this pile of useless garbage. I thought they would work out the kinks over time but it has been months and this isn’t getting better. Don’t use this app and definitely don’t pay for a subscription to use it. Worthless junk.
YouTube Music on Android TV sucks. What a horrible experience. Want to search for an album by an artist? No can do (unless you have uploaded it and then navigate to the album alphabetically). This is the worst music experience ever. What happened to Google Play Music? The integration with YouTube means you cannot search music only. All searches return YouTube videos. I waited a bit to see if Google would fix this rotten app on Android TV. I guess they don't think it's worth the upgrade. What are you waiting for Google? Please release a stand-alone music app. Thank you!
