Every remote is horrible for firetv. Everything on my end is as it should be, and yet I've been trying to connect for at least an hour now. On this remote every time u select a command a loud ad comes and then says the same thing make sure tvv and remote is on the same network. I only have 1 network. Then ur charging for what a firetv and fire stick already do. Sliding Pics for screen saver or sleeping done when plugged in automatically. Everything on remote already done within app and on phone
Lost my remote recently so I installed this app to use until I find it, and it is remarkably terrible. For starters, the input lag is insane. You'll have to wait 5 seconds after each click before anything actually happens. Also, if you need to scroll a few times to get to a show or app, you'll be hit by obnoxious ads every four clicks. And don't leave the app or let your phone screen time out, or it'll disconnect from your TV.
The Firestick Remote made by TV Cast Co., Ltd is such a disappointment. Connecting the app to WiFi takes no less than, and more often, much more than five minutes. (the remote can only be used once the app has connected to WiFi) Once connected the app works clumsily -- there's a lag between navigating the app interface and what's happening on the TV and the app sporadically drops its connection to wifi. It was easier and cheaper to purchase a replacement remote on Amazon for $12 bucks.
